School Council
The School Council is the 'Pupil Voice' for all of the children at Worplesdon Primary School.
The Council meets regularly to discuss how to work together to make improvements to our school and consults with Mrs O’Brien. Each class has a representative whose job is to gather pupil’s ideas and opinions (through surveys, interviews and whole class questionnaires), feedback important information from Council meetings and share ideas and action plans with other members of the school community.
Each year the Council looks at different aspects of school life and helps organise fundraising for charities .
The School Council is also Worplesdon Primary Schools Rights Respecting School Ambassadors and supports the pupils, staff and governors who ensure children’s rights are met across the school whilst looking at ways it can support children’s rights globally.
Elections
School Council elections are every term to find one member per class and two Year 6’s to represent Reception. Older children are encouraged to make speeches about why they want to be on the School Council.
The School Council is supported by Mr Torjussen.
